Portland loses to Seattle 2-1 in U.S. Open Cup action. Garbage refereeing. I hate losing to Seattle. I always want Portland to advance far enough in the Open to compete with MLS clubs. I guess we'll have to wait another year.
The Team: The Right to have any club nickname come from the fans, not marketing executives. Let it happen over time.
Fan Clubs: The Right to free speech, song, and chant; Nothing shall inhibit the free expression of ideas and passionate vocal support for our team.
Ownership: The Right to have our team referred to as a "club." The owners shall not refer to our club in business terms, like "brand," the "product," "the business," etc. (Sorry Red Bull New York fans) Nobody wants to put their time, effort, or passion into supporting a corporation. It's about community.
Stadium: The Right to have our team play on natural grass.
Stadium: The Right to have our stadium located within the city. It MUST be easily accessible by public transportation because many of us do not own a car or do not want to drive home after drinking.
Stadium: The Right to a pub near the stadium, where we can congregate, meet one another, and celebrate in tragedy and triumph.
