Breaking News: Columbus using their Designated Player Spot

MLS Underground is reporting that Columbus will use their designated player spot on signing Boca Junior legendary midfielder Guillermo Barros Schelotto. The deal is expected to be for two years with Columbus paying Schelotto between $1-2 million a season. For those unfamiliar with Schelotto, he is a legend of Argentine soccer. He has won more championships than any other player in that country. Considering the success and quality of Argentina and its league, that is saying something. Great stuff for Columbus fans if it's true.

Welcome neighbor. I post out of the Northwest as well, even if I surrendered my Timbers beat to cover the Crew (and other sundry, weird decisions). I joined you on this one. Have you heard from "juan" yet?
