Steve Goff at the Soccer Insider (Washington Post blog) is reporting that there will be a Champions League for CONCACAF countries.
4 groups of 4 teams. There will be group play in the fall, with knockout rounds in the spring.
2 MLS teams automatically qualify: Supporters' Shield winner and MLS Cup winner.
The runner-up in each category enters a qualifying stage for the group phase.
